Where to stay in Houston?

Museum District
Nearby, the Museum District is the greatest cultural attractions of the city. It is home to about 19 museums within the walking distance of one another. Most famous are the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Children’s Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts.  Here you’ll see the world’s great private art collection and the works of modern masters like Picasso, Rothko and Warhol.

Houston Zoo
Few blocks away, at the Houston zoo, you’ll find locals and visitors enjoying their time with the biological assets of this planet. You can also visit this place with your family to have a memorable experience. Within the same Museum district lays Hermann Park, where stands a Pioneer Memorial and the Reflecting Pool.

Buffalo Bayou Park
Flowing gently through the heart of Houston is Buffalo Bayou. It runs through a 160-acre green area called Buffalo Bayou Park. It offers some great skyline views of downtown. Across the park, there are several tracks that allow an extensive walk. If interested, you can get a guided cycling tour or some other tours that are offered ranging from one, up-to three hours.

Battleship Texas
At the mouth of Bayou rises the San Jacinto Memorial. Nearby, you’ll find ‘Battleship Texas’ – a reminder of a past conflict. The former flagship of the US Navy served through two world wars, now serves as a museum ship. However, spacecraft are the most popular Houston’s ships.

Space Center Houston
Doesn’t matter if you are not a science freak, you must pay a visit to Space Center Houston. This complex is open for tourists and you can roam around to see a life-size replica of the shuttle with the carrier. You can touch a rock from the moon and learn about future space projects. If you want to step ahead then you need to sign up for Level 9 tour that has limited access but will give you a mind-boggling experience.

Gernald D. Hines Water wall
The water wall is probably one of the most popular things to come see in Houston. It makes for an incredible photo-spot. A 64ft. wall recirculates 11,000 gallons of water every minute. This attraction deserves much appreciation.

Some other sites
NRG Stadium, The Toyota Center, Vintage stores on 19th Street, Galveston and few more to name are some other sites in Houston TX that are worth visiting.
